We built the software first.
Fleet Nexis started because vehicle care is an operations problem wearing a service-industry costume. The cleaning is well understood. The scheduling, the record-keeping and the billing are where it falls apart — so that is what we fixed first.
The problem was never the wash
Any competent technician can clean a car. What operators struggle with is knowing which of their eighty vehicles is overdue, which vendor did what, and why the monthly spend moved. That information lived in phone calls, spreadsheets and a whiteboard in someone's office.
So we modelled the operation
Bays, crews, skills, shift patterns, vehicle classes and service durations went into a scheduling engine before we opened a single centre. Availability is computed from real capacity, which is why the slot you are offered is a slot that exists.
Then we ran the network on it
Every Fleet Nexis centre runs on the same platform our customers book through. There is no separate internal system and no reconciliation between them, so the record you see is the record we work from.
- Vehicles servicedAcross wash, detailing and garage work since launch.
- On-time completionJobs finished inside the window we quoted at booking.
- Fleet accountsOperators running recurring programmes with us.
- Median turnaroundFrom drop-off to keys back for standard bookings.
The platform
The software is the difference.
Most vehicle care runs on phone calls, whiteboards and hope. We built the scheduling layer first and the service network around it, which is why the availability you see is real and the paperwork mostly does itself.
Capacity-aware scheduling
Bays, crews and skills are modelled properly, so double-booking is structurally impossible rather than merely discouraged.
Crew slot management
Shift patterns, certifications and leave feed the same calendar customers book against. Rosters and availability cannot drift apart.
Complete job history
Every service a vehicle has ever had, with photos, parts and technician notes. Resale conversations get considerably easier.
Exports that finance accepts
CSV and PDF by cost centre, date range or vehicle class. No screenshots, no re-keying.

How we operate
Four things we will not trade away.
Every service business says it cares about quality. These are the specific decisions that cost us money and we make anyway.
Evidence over assurance
Photographs at check-in and check-out, paint depth readings before correction, itemised parts with approval in writing. Trust should be verifiable, not requested.
The paint has to survive
No spinning brushes, no silicone dressings that look wet for a fortnight and degrade trim for years. We optimise for the vehicle's fourth birthday, not its photo on delivery day.
Schedules are promises
A quoted window is a commitment, not an aspiration. If we are going to miss it you will hear from us before you notice, and we would rather refuse a booking than take one we cannot honour.
Boring paperwork, done properly
Invoices that reconcile, exports that import, cost centres that match your chart of accounts. Nobody is delighted by good admin, but everybody notices bad admin.
Why it works
Six things most vehicle care gets wrong.
None of these are clever. They are simply what happens when the scheduling and record-keeping are treated as the product rather than an afterthought.
Slots that actually exist
Availability comes straight from crew rosters and bay capacity. If the platform offers you 9:30 on Thursday, someone is genuinely free at 9:30 on Thursday.
Live job tracking
Every stage is timestamped — checked in, in progress, quality checked, ready. You get a link, not a phone number you have to keep calling.
Photographed, not promised
Condition images before work starts and after it finishes, attached to the job record. Disputes end quickly when everyone is looking at the same evidence.
One invoice, every vehicle
Consolidated billing with cost-centre tags and CSV export. Finance stops reconciling forty receipts a month from six different vendors.
Named crews
The same technicians see the same vehicles. They learn which van has the sticky tailgate and which director hates air freshener.
Products chosen on merit
pH-neutral chemistry, plush microfibre, no silicone shine. We optimise for the paint surviving four years, not for how it photographs on day one.
Built and operated by DATADOVE
Fleet Nexis is the vehicle care arm of DATADOVE, which builds operational software for service businesses. The engineering team that maintains the scheduling platform sits alongside the operations team that uses it, which shortens the distance between a problem on the floor and a fix in production.

One booking is the cheapest way to find out, and it comes with a photo record either way.
